Story

The Garvey sisters are united by the death of their parents and a promise to always protect each other. Sharon Horgan (Eva) is the sister of former Irish rugby player Shane Horgan.

Eve Hewson (Becka) is the daughter of Bono of U2. Brian Gleeson (Thomas) is the son of actor Brendan Gleeson and brother of actor Domhnall Gleeson.

Having seen Sharon Horgan in the series “Catastrophe,” I respect and admire her writing, comedy and acting so much that I will watch anything she is in at this point

“Bad Sisters” is wickedly funny, brilliantly written, brilliantly acted and brilliantly directed and just plain smart and so human – both the good and the bad, that it stands out immediately. There is no real violence, no car crashes, no special effects, it’s all very human, the real drama and agony of what some people do to others, softened by hilarious circumstances and comedy.

I love this show

John Paul, the abusive husband of one sister, also known as “The Prick” to all the sisters, is so wonderfully and diabolically written and acted that I don’t know if I could ever watch this actor again in anything else and not hate him for being so evil in such a banal role. Two minutes of watching him constantly call his wife “Mammy”…

honestly, it’s just disturbing because he’s so realistic that you want to kill him or make him die

This show walks the fine line between comedy, drama and tragedy so perfectly that I have to give it a 10/10.
