Sonic, Knuckles and Tails face off again against a powerful new adversary, Shadow, a mysterious villain with powers unlike anything they’ve faced before. With their abilities rendered obsolete, Team Sonic must forge an unlikely alliance. Jim Carrey, Ben Schwartz, James Marsden, Tika Sumpter, Krysten Ritter, Colleen O’Shaughnessey and Lee Majdoub share hobbies that may surprise fans. The creators of the previous films have mentioned that they played the solo game Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (2001) and The Shadow The Hedgehog (2005) for inspiration. The film is also inspired by narrative elements from the Saturday morning animated television series Sonic the Hedgehog (1993). Shadow’s story began just like yours, Sonic. But where he found family and friends, Shadow found only pain and loss… SPOILER: There’s a scene in the end credits: Sonic arrives at a New York State Park and faces an army of Metal Sonic robots, but is saved by Amy Rose. It appears in Geeks + Gamers: Sonic 3 – Trailer Reaction (2024). Sonic The Hedgehog 3 is easily the best of the trilogy. The best writing, the best characterization, great humor, and Keanu Reeves is a treat as Shadow. This film is different from the first 2, most obviously in the tone of the film, this film is a soulful adaptation of Sonic Adventure 2, and they did a better job than I ever thought they would. Shadow’s past is portrayed hauntingly beautifully, not to mention his immaculate CGI model, I was so impressed with how he looked. Jim Carrey was hilarious as usual, an absolute treat in our franchise, he was ridiculously awesome as both Ivo and amp; Gerald. Ben Schwartz, Colleen & Co. Idris shone brighter than ever. Being a huge Sonic fan, this movie exceeded my expectations, what a feeling to be a Sonic fan! Easily one of the best songs in Sonics history.9/10.
